WHAT IS GENOMIC TESTING?

Genomic testing identifies specific underlying DNA alterations that may be driving the tumour’s growth1. This information may help physicians understand which potential options are available for a patient based on their tumour’s unique genomic profile.

Genomic testing performed by Foundation Medicine, which we call comprehensive genomic profiling, casts a broader net. We simultaneously interrogate many genes, across all known types of mutations, to take a more comprehensive look at the makeup of a patient's tumour.
